SILINYL is an anti-silicone solvent with good degreasing power. It is used for the removal of waxes, oils and silicones from different types of supports (also painted parts of cars and motorcycles) *. Recommended for the preparation treatment of surfaces before casting with resin, in particular during the construction of resin or wood-resin tables.

* Always carry out a preliminary test before use to make sure that the product does not damage and dull the paint.

USE:

Pour the product over a cloth or paper cloth and rub the surface to be cleaned. If necessary, repeat the treatment several times.

WHY USE THE ANTISILICONE?

When casting with resin it is very important that the surface where it will be poured is perfectly clean. The presence of traces of grease, oil, silicone or wax greatly affects the final result of the resin casting and its adhesion to the surface. The oily substances and silicones in contact with the resin create "dodges" (also called fish eyes) which are dirty points where the resin does not linger (just dodging) creating "craters" compared to other points where it is present correctly the resin. Instead the waxes are release agents and therefore a dirty spot of wax will compromise the adhesion of the resin and in some cases they can release part of the substance, affecting the shine of the resin.

For this reason it is necessary to make a preventive treatment on the surface to eliminate any dirt. When you are unsure of how clean the surface is, an anti-silicone treatment is always recommended. Even in the casting of resin tables it is recommended to clean the wooden boards if you are not sure of their condition.
