HobbyFast is a multi-purpose transparent epoxy casting resin (jewelery, DIY, bijoux, polishing, etc.) with quick demoulding with application by casting or brush. +FREE SHOVEL AND GLOVES KIT!

The peculiarity of this resin is the polymerization speed (compared to traditional traditional epoxy resins) which allows to obtain a demoulding of the piece from a mold in a shorter time. The demoulding time of the casting will depend on the thickness of the casting (min. 2mm - max. 1cm) and on environmental factors (mainly the temperature). Complete hardening will take longer.

The ductility of this resin allows it to be used in a variety of different sectors, activities and processing methods. Mainly the compound finds perfect application in:

• Creative activities (stickers, jewelery, bijoux, etc.)
• Model making
• Construction and / or finishing of small objects
• Construction of objects through casting in silicone molds
• Incorporation of small objects

It is mainly used: for casting in silicone molds, for polishing objects or as a creation in itself (rings, pendants, bracelets, earrings, cameos, etc.) of low thickness or to create more sophisticated objects with the incorporation of some objects (e.g. eg dried flowers).

The use is very easy, just weigh the two components with a scale respecting the ratio of 100: 50 (by weight), that is adding 50% of part B to the quantity of component A. Then the two components are combined and with a spatula must be mixed thoroughly, taking care to scrape the walls and the bottom well to obtain a homogeneous mixture throughout the mass. The workability time of the resin is about 5 minutes at 25 ° C.

To create a resin object, pour the liquid into a silicone rubber mold (min. 2 mm and max. 1 cm) of the desired shape, from which it will be easily possible to unmold once catalyzed.

The casting method is not the only one that can be used, in fact it is also possible to use the HobbyFast with a brush to obtain a low thickness surface (min. 2 mm). The formulation is self-leveling and once applied it will tend to uniform over the entire surface, eliminating the signs of the bristles.

The product has a release time of 4 hours (approximately at an average temperature of 25 ° C) and a complete hardening in the following hours, but remember that the temperature and the thickness of the casting have a significant influence on these times. Environments with temperatures (> 25 °) allow to obtain a demoulding and hardening of the casting in less time.

Important: do not mix large quantities of product and do not leave it in bulk for a prolonged time. Do not cast less than 2 mm and greater than 1 cm. We do not recommend using this product when outside temperatures are high enough.
